Finally, we're getting closet doors installed today! We decided to go with closet doors for the baby's room instead of drapes because I read on the Nurseries and Baby Gear Board that it will be worth it when they're toddlers and start getting into everything. The other rooms needed closet doors anyway and we're installing new doors in about half the house (half the house had the old, flat interior doors and the other half had new colonial doors... go figure). The handyman is also taking care of little odds and ends like repairing drywall holes and fixing some door frames. They were little details that were driving us nuts. The fact that the shower will be at our house has really motivated us to get these little odds and ends finished before the baby arrives.
The other projects we have in mind (new master bath, roof, patio, etc.) will have to wait a couple of years and we're okay with that. But, it still feels great to finally get so much done before the baby arrives.
Re: last home improvement project for the year...
Great checks off the list! We also are in the same boat, we need to *** baseboards, retouch paint, fix a leaking shower head etc... hoping to get it all done before the baby comes in December! The nesting has definetely kicked in these last couple weeks because all these things are suddently driving me nuts LOL
