I have yet to hear back on my blood test results, but I have little doubt that I have a gluten intolerance. I have a rash called dermatitis herpetiformus, which can accompany Celiac. Untreated, Celiac can lead to infertility and miscarriage, among many other problems. The antibodies formed when gluten is consumed by an intolerant person attach to the placenta and destroy it.
It makes sense that my hormone levels are all normal, my anatomy is normal, my DH is normal...and yet I have only been pregnancy once in the past two years. (That pregnancy resulted in a m/c). Also, at this point, I do not ovulate without the assistance of Clomid.
I've only been gluten-free for a week and I already feel much better. My joint pain is all but gone, my rash is getting better, and I generally have more energy.
I hope this is the answer!
