HSG?

Did anyone here have to get an HSG done? My insurance doesn't cover it so I'm looking for a a place that is less expensive than others. I have been quoted anywhere from 800-1300. I will travel to do it as well. My RE seems to remember a place that charges $500, I called but they aren't answering. TY

Re: HSG?

  • I had one done but it was covered by my insurance which was Blue Shield w/ Sutter Gould under it.  I do think it was about $500 through them though.

If it helps, because we didn't have IF coverage my OBGYN ordered it and it was covered under her but not under an RE.

  • At the Reproductive Science Center in San Ramon, the price was $760.00, but it's been a  few years since I had it done.
  • I had one done this year. My insurance is through Kaiser and I pay 50% of the cost of all fertility treatments. Given the range of quotes you've been given, I'd "shop" (for lack of a better term) around more also.
  • I had it done but my insurance covered...it was a little more than $1500 and that was through Kaiser.  I'm not sure where you might find it cheaper.  Good luck!

  • I had mine done through Kaiser but kittylove checks this board and she went outside of her insurance to somewhere cheaper...hopefully she'll chime in.

  • I went to a place in Stocton and it was 500 back then. I know it is where RSC sends thier OOP gals. Even if you aren't using them I would still call and see if you can get the name of the place. I will look through my tax stuff for you and see if I can find the name of the place.

Thank you! I called RSC and they do their own now so that wasn't helpful. Was the place you went to called Delta Radiology? I finally go through and they charge $500.
