Hello! I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. My husband and I have been TTC for a year now. I have about a 65 day menstrual cycle so it's been quite difficult!! No PCOS, just an odd schedule I guess!! I start my first cycle of Clomid on Friday, just wondering if anyone had any success or even failure stories to share with me!

Kate Gosslein had good luck on Clomid! LOL She had an IUI too though
Both times she did! LOL
If you are getting monitored, then it reduces the higher order multiples (HOM). Although, if you release two eggs and one splits, you've got three babies.
Welcome! I'm a newbie poster here as well..
Have you used Provera yet? I was irregular so I had to use it to initiate a cycle so I could take my first round of 50 mg of Clomid last month. Found out last week that I still wasn't ovulating though. I was going to my Gyno's office and they didn't do any type of monitoring while I was on it (only the CD21 bloodwork). He suggested for me to do 2 more cyles with the same dosage, then bump up to 100mg for 2 cycles, then 150mg for the 6th cycle... I wasn't sure that he was being proactive enough, so I decided to see a RE. Now, I'm going to take 100mg this cycle and 150mg next cycle. I'm super excited because now they are going to monitor me throughout, and hopefully figure out what the issue is.
Don't hesitate to see an RE (if you aren't already) they sure know their stuff!
Wishing you the best of luck!!!!
I actually wasn't even aware of an RE, or what they do until today when I read some of the posts on here. I have been seeing my OB/GYN who is an infertility specialist, but I don't believe an RE. It makes me a little nervous, but I am pretty proactive and observant when it comes to my health, so I'm going to try this first round of 50mg clomid and see how it goes.
My cycle normally runs about 65 days with my last start date being 7/1. By chance I started again today, on the day of my dr. appt so I'll be doing the 3-7 cycle, so no I haven't tried the Provera.
I wish you luck as well! It's nice to know I"m not alone!
That's great that your cycle started again already!
Some people do have certain side effects, but I took mine at night - about an hour before I went to bed and had no problems.
