Poop ?

How long can they go without pooping? Maddy was pretty regular but she hasnt pooped since Thursday. She doesn't act uncomfortable and isn't straining, but I am getting a little concerned and will probably call the pedi tomorrow if she still hasnt pooped. She is making wet diapers (very very wet) She is bottle fed breast milk. Any insights? Oh the things that keep us up at night. LOL

When DS#1 was I think 3-4 weeks old this happened and he didn't poop for 72 hrs, I took him to the hospital b/c I was freaking out. The doctor told me that BF babies sometimes can go a week without pooping. As the doc was saying that, my sons but pretty much exploded in the diaper! lol Just keep an eye on her, and definitely talk to your pedi.

I was freaking out about this too, and talked to my pedi. ?She said BF babies are ok to go up to 6 or 7 days without a poop, as long as the poop (when they have it) is still yellowish/brownish and that watery/seedy BF poop. ?She said that as long as they're having wet diapers and not looking like they are in pain, it's fine.
