Target Hunters

Has anyone seen teacher supplies in the dollar spot in Target? I checked last week and didn't see anything. I wanted to pick up some stuff for my sister who begins her first year of teaching in a few weeks. Oh and if you have any recommendations for other items to get her, let me know.

I think my response got deleted I did see stuff at the Roswell Super Target. I don't know if her students will have lists of supplies but, all the office stores are having sales and if you tell them you are buying as a teacher, they will often allow you to buy enough for a class.

I would also say things like fun posters and stuff to decorate her classroom would be good gifts.

I know you mentioned Target specificily, but tell her to check out Office Depot if there is one near her. They always have basic supplies (pencils, notebooks, rulers, erasers, folders, etc) for 1,5, and 10 cents during back to school days

She may also want books to start a class library. I remember buying books at Goodwill and garage sales to get started.

Wow, that's so cheap! I had no idea, I think I'll pick up some stuff for my future classroom too. (I graduate next year)

Also check out the dollar tree.  They have a lot of teacher items.  I like to get their borders, die cut shapes, and sentence strips because those are things I go through every year. Sometimes they even have posters and decorations.

I saw a bunch of stuff yesterday at the Target dollar spot in East Cobb.  The one at the intersection of Johnson Ferry and 120.

I have gotten a a few things from Target--their stuff is out in the $1 section.  Lakeshore is having a good sale--20% off most things and a free planbook.  Also, I got a flyer at school today that School Box is going to have 20% off everything in the store August 7-14th.

also check out Craigslist....teacher supplies. lots of teachers who are getting rid of their stuff.
