A childhood friend of mine was murdered on Saturday (any local so cal residents it is all over the news).  I just have such hard time grasping the pure evil that exists in this world.  Makes me want to keep my kids at home forever....

I know.  A college friend of mine was attacked and killed 3 years after we graduated.  she opened the door to the wrong person... she didn't know him... he was found b/c he used her cc later that week.

it's unbelievable someone can be so evil... and yet I know too well they exist. sad. 

I'm sorry for your loss.  I don't know if you were still close... but it still hits hard.  (((hugs)))

I'm so sorry lulu. As you might remember, one of my and DH's friends was brutally murdered one year ago... and I am STILL devastated by this, so if anyone knows how sad and violated you feel, it's me. Oh thats right Lindsay...wow, that has been a year?  Did they ever catch the person?  Things like this just shake you to the core.  Right now it appears to be a random act of violence...it is even more devastating because she was due to get married in two months.  She had her life in front of her.  So sad.
