I like Hailey better, the double "y" in Hayley looks weird to me.
I like Hailey Renee!

Hayley looks awkward with the double Y, and with the word Hay in it. Sadly, Behind the Name has Hayley as the original inspiration. This is the one time I would deviate though...Hailey because more popular in my area because of Halley's comet (pronounced like valley or daily).
I prefer Hailey. This is the default spelling I use when someone tells me their name is Hailey. It is also the most common way that I have seen teaching school. (Although there are MANY different ways that it has been spelled!)
Our girl name for this baby (now for whenever we have a girl!) was Hailey Rae. I think the Hayley spelling looks for trendy and just strange. If anything I like Haley better then Hayley or Haylee. But, Hailey is my #1 choice!
I have not researched the history of this name at all, but what I can tell you is the SSA information for all three spellings that I've seen mentioned in this thread so far.
Hailey first showed up in 1982, and has been in the Top 30 for 10 years now
Hayley first showed up in 1977, and has never cracked the Top 100, right now it's fading fast, currently at #422
Haley first showed up in 1974, and is currently #123

Well, originally the name was Hayley. It has morphed into Haley and now Hailey.
I like Hayley. I really dislike the Hailey spelling, I don't understand why people want "hail" in their kid's name.
Hailey
I also know a few girls with the spelling Haley, which I also like.
