Big girl bed SUCCESS

So, you guys may remember me talking recently about how Sophia will not sleep longer than an hour in her crib. She sleeps amazingly, as long as she's in our bed.

We know it's insanely early but we decided to get a toddler bed and see how she would do. OMG, the child slept. Alone. Until 9:30am.

YESSSSSSSSSSS. Jordan & I haven't slept alone in probably 6 months. You can imagine what this has done to our sex life. Yeah, it's bad. We've kind of lost each other the last couple months and then last night we cuddled and actually had room to move. I think this is going to really help us & our insanity. Hoping she keeps it up! We left her crib in her room and we're going to give this a week or 2 to decide if it's going to work for the long haul.

YAY!!! I am so happy for you.

I am considering this route as well. Alexa won't sleep more then a couple hours in her own bed these days and I think the "comfort" factor has a lot to do with it as well - a pillow top comfy king bed vs a hard cold crib. She sleeps sideways between Eric and I. Leaving me with about 6 inches of bed. Did you put the bed in her room or yours? Let me know how the next couple weeks go! Good luck!

We think it's a total comfort thing as well!

We did our normal bed time routine, put her down and she was O-U-T.

I'll let you know how it goes. I'm hoping last night wasn't a one-time thing. We spent the entire afternoon at Ikea yesterday picking out a bed, mattress, bedding, etc...We figure if it doesn't work out now then we'll just use it again when she's closer to 2ish.

ETA: Duh, I didn't answer your question. We put the bed in her room. The bed is awesome because it has 3 different sizes - It's goes from a very small toddler bed, to a little larger "toddler" bed and then into a full twin.

Nope. We got this bed from Ikea - It goes from a toddler bed to a twin size and we had to get a special mattress for it. The mattress is AWESOME, I want it for our bed
