My husband and I bought a townhouse in Round Lake about 3 years ago and I am now 8 weeks pregnant. I have been seeing my regular ob/gyn in the city for years (and we re located from the city) and have continued to see her despite the drive because of her amazing patient care. Now that we're having a baby my doctor, husband, and myself talked and decided it's in our best interest to looks for medial care closer to home. We have narrowed our decision to Lake Forest Hospital and Good Shepard Hospital. I feel more comfortable w/a female doctor but am open to a male doctor as long as they are really good. Any recommendations and imput I can receive on doctors and the 2 hospitals is very apperciated! Thanks!!
Re: Hospitals and OB/GYN Recs Northern Burbs
Congratulations!
I delivered at Good Shepherd and was very happy with the experience and I would recommend them. All the staff, especially the nurses were wonderful. The hospital was finishing up renovations on the wing and I was lucky to get one of the new rooms.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
I delivered at Good Shepard and they were great! The nurses were awesome! I go to woman to woman in Crystal Lake the doctors are great, here is the website https://www.obgynwomantowoman.com/
I loved giving birth at Lake Forest Hospital. They have this amazing women's hospital on their campus. Everyone is so nice. I go to Westmoreland OB/GYN. They have offices in Lake Forest and Grayslake. I love Dr. Kelley London or Dr. Tanner Colegrove. The other doctors are really nice too.

I delivered at Lake Forest Hospital and was absolutely thrilled with the experience. I had a planned c/s (DD was breech) and everything went so smoothly. The nurses were wonderful and the facility is outstanding! Not to mention, the food is delicious! I also go to Westmoreland OB/GYN. My favorite doctor there is Dr. Adam Cohan. I have seen all of the doctors in the practice (4) and he is the best match for me in terms of personality. Dr. Colegrove would be my first choice of the two female doctors in the practice.
After I got pregnant, I decided to switch to Westmoreland and deliver at LF Hospital after getting several recommendations from friends.
