Anyone else NOT taking a vacation this summer?

We don't have the time.  We usually spend a week or two at our house in the mountains, but DH can't take time off work this summer :(  I keep reading posts on FB from my friends who are going away on vacations and I'm a little jealous!

    We moved 3 months ago. We're putting in new windows and doors and a new furnace, water softening system, hot water heater and possibly a/c. The vacation budget is pretty much not a line item this year.

    we just got back from vacation but my parents paid for the beach house...we only paid for food and whatever else.  We usually take 1 vacation a year & usually in the spring never during the summer.

    We moved in March and have spent a small fortune fixing the house up. No vacation for us this year. DD and I are tagging along on a business trip to NYC with DH and then a family wedding in TX in December.

    We are going to do Disney in the spring though.

    We're not.  DH doesn't have any vacation time left (b/c of a company-wide shut down).  I'm thinking of taking the girls somewhere for a week without him but I'm not sure if I really want to do that.

    Nope. I used two weeks of paid time off to extend my maternity leave and there's still some chance we may have to move this year, so I want to save my remaining time off in case that happens.

    Dh and I are both teachers and are off for the summer. No huge vacations this summer. Just visiting our parents which are both within 2 hours and day trips lol

    Nope. We took a weekend to go to DH's family reunion, but I didn't really consider that a vacation. DH is saving his vacation time for when the baby comes.

    Nope. Taking the kids down the shore for the day this week, but otherwise nothing. I'm a single Mom so needless to say funds are a little tight.

    My dad has a lakehouse that is only a 3 hour drive from here, so we're doing that for a few long weekends. Other than that, no real vacation.

    We have a weekend planned for OOB and another, just DH & I, for hiking in Sept. Other than that, we didn't plan a week vacation this summer.
