Seriously?  90 minutes to get you to nap?

This is me screaming as loud as I can:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex NEEDS to nap.  Not for me, for HIM.  For the past 90 minutes he's been walking around his room, piling toys on his bed and reading (I don't mind the reading), and every time I walk by and tell him it's nap time he tells me to shut up.  Really.  Charming, awesome.  That makes me feel like a super success as a mom, kiddo.  

So finally I had to yell.  And I yelled.  Loud.  And scary.  And he cried for his father for 2 minutes and now he's asleep.  

I hate days like this.  TG Simon slept through the whole thing.

I am sorry it was a rough nap time. I hope the day is better when they wake up. You are not a bad mom, you are an awesome mom. I was just thinking while reading your post about school and work this morning how much in awe I am of you. I am not sure I could handle all that myself.

Ugh, this sounds like my normal bedtime routine with my daughter.  I can never get her to go to sleep.  Ours usually last 30 minutes each night...so frustrating.  Sorry you had to go through that this afternoon.

Big Hugs friend!  We've had things like that happen and it's just heart breaking for me.  I think parenting just gets harder as they grow.  I am glad he slept after it was all said and done.
