At last we got pregnant after 7 months trying! Im 15 weeks right now. I found out that I am having a baby BOY! yepee! I told my parents that I am having a boy and my dad instantly said he wants me to name the baby after him, "James". Even before getting pregnant we already had a name picked out, "Giankyle", my hubby's name is George Kyle, just changed George to Gian, my hubby thinks George is an old name. Now I want to know ladies does the name "Giankyle James" sound good? is it too long? Does the 2 names fit together? Thanks.
Re: Naming the baby
Two things:
(1) Why does your dad think he can basically demand that you name your baby after him? Isn't that your decision? That bothers me.
(2) No one will ever know how to pronounce Giankyle. Kyle James is a perfectly lovely name. I'd use it if you're set on naming him after you DH and your father.
Congratulations!
I don't like it. I'm not sure how to pronounce it and the spelling is odd. What about reversing the names? Kyle George is a good name.
It's a little pushy of your dad to insist that the baby be named after him but I would vote for James as a second option over Giankyle any day.
Using Giankyle will cause two headaches for your DS.
1. It will never be pronounced correctly.
2. It will always be misspelled.

I always love reading your responses, braveangel!
This. Don't make up a name to name him after your DH and dad. Use 1 from each. Kyle James sounds great.
