My son's rescue was on Good Morning America this morning and now there are news crews on their way over to interview us about the footage! I'm kind of nervous!

OH my goondess...I read about your rescue last night before I went to bed...so glad you guys are OK!  I'm turning on GMA now, but it's been on for about an hour already.  Did they show your segment in the first half or 2nd half of the show?

I'm not sure. We didn't get to watch it, but a couple of friends called us after it was on.

 Shorewood got hit hard too! Is your basement ok? It's supposed to rain again today!

We got about 3 inches in the basement last night, but luckily it all went back down the drain last night so it's just damp down there now. We rent so our landlady has big fans going down there. What a mess!

Where did you guys get stuck last night? I was on 43 north and I hit about 2 feet of water under Capitol Drive and I thought for *sure* my car was going to stall and flood. I barely made it through! Then Hampton was flooded at the river and our neighborhood roads were flooded too. I've never seen anything like it! I am so glad you guys are all right!

 I'm glad it went down! We were on Port just north of Hampton headed toward Silver Spring. We were so close to home too! We're right by where Whitefish Bay turns into Glendale in that corner between Port and Silver Spring, but were still stranded in the La Quinta for about 3 hours. It was nuts!

Oh sure I know exactly where that is- about 5 minutes from my house. Darn I wish I'd known you sooner- DH has a Jeep Wrangler and had NO problems last night- we could've come and gotten you!
