which was strange, cause I figured it was way too early, I'm only 4w3d. I didn't have to take it until 8-10 weeks when I was pregnant with DD (then the second routine one at 28 weeks).
Anyway, I HATE that orange drink they give you. This lab didn't keep the bottles chilled, so I had to gulp it down warm, which was especially not good on an empty stomach and it being early in the morning. Thankfully, m/s gave me a break today

Anyone else had to do their glucose test yet?
Re: Took my glucose test today
I had one at 6 weeks. The orange drink makes me gag so bad.
Right, except I don't have any risk factors or previous history. I didn't have to take it until after 8 weeks with my first. The test was part of the prenatal panel, with the rest of the blood tests. I didn't even know I was going to have to do it, until I got to the lab and they pulled out the drink. I'm assuming it's just part of the routine panel that they do at this dr.'s office, but I'm going to ask at my next appointment anyway.
Thanks everyone!
Oh, I wish I had a choice! They only had orange at this lab. I'll ask if they have some of the red one when I go for the regular test at 24-28 weeks! Thanks
I wonder if it's a new thing too b/c I've seen that a couple times now and never noticed it last time. I had mine around 28w, which is standard.
I'm not looking forward to the standard 24-28 week one either.
Plus, the nurse kept saying that I had small veins and ended up picking me 3 times until she found a vein she said she "liked". One on my left arm, another on the right, then finally on my wrist (which was NOT fun), so I'm all bruised up on those areas today.
