NT Scan question

I always thought this was a two parter.  You get the U/S and bloodwork at 12 weeks and then again at 16 weeks.  I just got my results back today and they said that no further testing is needed.  I know that's good news, but I just want to make sure that everything is complete.

Did you have your NT Scan in one part or two?

I had the same thing as you at 13 weeks (blood work and u/s.)  Then at 17 weeks, I had more blood work, but that was for AFP and something else I think.

For me it is called the Quad screen, but it looks for the same thing...Mine was in 2 parts...12 weeks blood work and 16 week blood work....My understanding is they compare the two blood works to see if there is any signs of abnormalities etc.....I would ask them just so you put your mind at ease.

I had my first appt at 13 weeks and they told me I have to go back at 16 weeks for more bloodwork- they called it a Quad screen for me too.

I think it was called the quad screen in California as well. 

So I got out the brochure that they gave me and I guess here in Georgia it's called the FirstTrimester Screen.  I guess after this the next steps are CVS and amnio - neither of which I would do anyways. 

I just wonder why it's different here.

Hmmm..... I'm pretty sure I only rEmember the 12 week bloodwork and u/s.

I had the blood work done at 8 weeks and then had the ultrasound at 12 weeks.  That was it for me.
