some good news

hi gals,

Just thought I'd post a quick update. We finally were able to schedule a conference call with the Korea Program Director at our agency to have some of our questions answered and to also express our frustration with their lack of communication with us during their decision-making process.

The one great thing that came out of the conversation was that we found out that Samuel won't have to start over in the Emmigration Permit process and as soon as he is matched with a new family and his referral is accepted, he will still be able to come home by late Fall. I burst out crying as soon as they told me that b/c knowing that he wasn't going to be in foster care for another year was a huge burden off of me. I was so worried that we had made things worse for him by keeping him in foster care longer, but he'll still be home with is family before the year is over!

It was a huge relief. Just thought I'd share.

    That is great news. I know it must still be an emotional roller coaster for you, but knowing that he will be here soon must be a load off your mind.

    That is wonderful news!!
    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!
