He'll play with it, he'll sling it across the room, he'll suck the bottom of it, but he refuses to drink from it! I think he'll be drinking from bottles until he's 10!
Claire has zero interest, too. She LOVES her bottle and gets nasty when you try to pass off milk in a sippy. She may just sip her champagne at her wedding from a bottle.

Katie did use sippy cups but she does way better with straw cups so maybe give that a try. It will take him some time to get the hang of it but if he can use a straw you can just bypass the sippy cups all together.

Thanks! Did you have to teach her how to suck up the straw or did she jsut get it?
DD didnt like them either until like 3 weeks ago....I would give it to her and she would stare at it, then throw it....Then I found Nuby ones and I packed away all the bottles.... I was getting frustrated....good luck!

I showed her how to do it a few times and then let her try. It took a few tries and then she got it (for the most part). I was just letting her have a sip of my lemonade to see what she would do. I would let him try 1st with a regular straw cup or a take and toss straw cup vs. a munckin or playtex cup (ones that require a lot more sucking to get liquid up the straw) since it will be easier.
Henry mostly played with his. He'd occasionally sip some water and then spit it out, just for the fun of it. Then, one day, I put a little apple juice in the water and all the sudden he loved it. I don't like giving him much juice, so he only gets it every once in a while, but he has started doing a little better with water. He still spits a lot out though.
I thought DD would be drinking from a sippy cup at her wedding... but one day around 11 months she finally really got it. It took her until about a week after her 1st birthday to be able to hold it herself, but she does great with them now. She still can't drink out of them if there's a valve in there, but at least she's taking a cup!
