Symptoms are going away

blank_page

The first symptom I had was cramping, which I read was my uterus stretching to support the baby.  That happened for 3 days off and on and then went away.  I took the pregnancy test on day two of that and it was positive.

My next symptom was peeing a lot and not being able to sleep through the night because of it. That lasted about 2 weeks but I hated it so I was trying to force myself to sleep instead of getting up to pee.  Now I don't wake up at all during the night and I don't have to pee that badly when I wake up.  Having to pee all the time is a symtom that in now gone too.

My latest symptom was morning sickness.  I just hit my six week point and had morning sickness about 3 days before that.  I never threw up, but I sure felt crappy and nauseous during those three days!   Monday afternoon, the sick feeling just went away.  It hasn't come back since.

Has anyone else been experiencing anything like this?  It's got me freaked out that something is wrong!

Re: Symptoms are going away

  • Symptoms come and go, it's totally normal. One day I won't feel the slightest bit pregnant and the next I am sick as a dog. It even varies from hour to hour sometimes.

  • Symtoms come and go - all normal.  My m/s was horrible yesterday and has been relatively calm today -- just slightly nauseated, no vomiting or gagging.  I go through days of feeling fine and days of feeling like death.  Enjoy the good days!
TTC #1 since October 2008 March 2010--initial b/w and SA - normal What's next May 2010 - HSG, SHG June 2010 - IUI #1 Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Symptoms come and go for me too.  For example, I was nauseous 24/7 from the day I hit 6w.  Yesterday I felt like a million bucks with absolutely no symptoms.  I was terrified something was wrong.  Woke up today feeling great and then about 2 hours ago the nauseau struck again.  I'm feeling really lousy right now...

  • Agree with all PP - it seems to vary from day to day and hour to hour how I feel.  There are days I swear I'm not pregnant and then days where I'm very aware I am.

I think it's pretty normal for symptoms to come and go. I haven't had morning sickness yet - not sure when that will kick in!
  • Symptoms coming and going is totally normal. There are plenty of women who don't ever have symptoms and they have perfectly healthy babies. Symptoms don't equal pregnant or not pregnant or healthy baby or not. It's just a side effect, like some people get drowsy from Benadryl and some don't, it's different for everyone. I would just try to enjoy those symptom free days.

  • Thanks everyone.  Although those symptoms are still gone, I'll try to enjoy the fact that I'm not feeling like garbage Wink  I just thought I'd feel horrible from 6 weeks until after the first trimester.  I hope you are all feeling okay today!
