My right breast is really lagging in the whole breastfeeding thing. My left is always full, and leaks constantly. When I pump I can get 1-1.5oz out of the left but barely a .5oz out of the right. LO get frustrated at the breast when put on the right, it frustrating for us both. Today I noticed that my boobs are starting to look uneven. Is there anything I can do to boost the supply in that breast?
Thanks
Re: How do I boost supply on one side?
Most people have 1 that produces less than the other (affectionately known as the 'milk dud').
Pump on that side only after feedings for a few days (when it's convenient.. you don't have to do it after every single nursing session or in the middle of the night or anything).
Whatever you do - also keep putting LO on that breast, frustrated or not, he can make it produce much better than the pump. And if he dislikes that side and you let him skip it, the problem will just get worse
Some extra pumping should get it in shape though, then hopefully he'll be better about nursing on that side and all will be well.
You're doing great!!!!
