I won't win Mother of the Year Award--ugh!

So I put DS down for his nap at his nromal time Saturday. We had plans later so I went to take a shower and DH went downstairs to the garage to do some stuff. I had the monitor in the bathroom turned on.

 DS was fine just talking and all of a sudden I noticed the red bars on the monitor. We have had a few days lately where DS flat out refuses naps but we let him cry for 5 minutes and if he is really upset we go in.

Well I was in the shower with a head full of shampoo when the crying started. I finished my shower and DS was pretty upset ( maybe 5 minutes had passed since the crying started- no more than 5) I went in his room and he had fallen backwards in his crib and his left arm was stuck in the slats of the crib. OMG!!!!!! I ran to him and got his arm out and said " Mama is so sorry mama is so sorry about a hundred times. DS looked at me, put his hand over my mouth, laid his head on my shoulder and fell asleep.

I cried for on and off all day. I still feel bad. He is fine thank god but that was a lesson to me. I won't ever be able to let him cry now.

Poor guy!  I'm sure it was way harder on you.  We all have those moments.  You're still awesome.

oh no.  I'm so sorry--that sucks more for you than it does for DS.  I  hate those moments--trust me, we've all had them.
