I am 22 weeks and 2 days (according to doc and O dates).

I got an e-mail from 2 pregnancy sites saying that at 22 weeks and 1 day I was considered 23 weeks. Why is this and if it is true, is V-day from O date or from this mysterious extra week?

I am so confused with the dates. 22 weeks should be 6 months but then i would be pregnant for another 4 and that makes no sense. Why dont they just say a pregnancy is 10 months?

My OB would always say, "you're DONE with 22 weeks, that means you're in your 23rd week."  That made sense to me.

I don't know if I'm correct, but I'm guessing those sites are saying you're IN your 23rd week.  So, they would count days 0-6 of your pregnancy as week 1, days 7-13 as week 2, etc. rather than counting day 7 as week 1.  Does this make sense?  Sorry if I am just adding to your confusion.

This exactly. 

You say you're 1 years old after 1 year has passed.  I don't run around claiming to be a year older than I am even though I'm "in" my 28th year... I'm 27!

So do we reach V-day at week 24 of my O date or week 23, which is technically 24?
