"The statue is buried upside
down in the front yard with the feet pointing to heaven. It may face
towards the
home (or towards the street if you want your neighbor's home to sell!)
The
location of the statue can vary: by the "For Sale" sign, in a flower
pot (popular for condo owners), etc.. As long as you can find it once
the home
has sold. After the home has sold, the statue should be removed from the
ground
and given a place of honor in your new home."
Save the $8 and buy a new welcome mat for the front door;)
My welcome mat was WAY more that $8!!
I realize it's superstitious, BUT I want to sell my house. And it certainly doesn't hurt anything
lol I have a really neat welcome mat and no one ever comes to our front door. I was just kidding. we had the statue buried for 8 months at our old house.

Was your house on the market for 8 months? I am SO dreading that.
(and I totally crush on my welcome mat, but nobody seems to notice, as they are distracted by my giant slobbery dog )
