TTC & Drinking

Prob a dumb ? but..We are TTC and I would have ovulated either yesterday or the day before. Well I am supposed to go to a happy hour with friends in a couple days. Should I not drink until I miss my period and know that I am not pg or would it be too early to matter? Do you normally stop drinking after you miss your period and know your pg or after you even tried?

Re: TTC & Drinking

  • For both pregnancies I behaved as I normally would until I got my BFP.  For me that means 1 or 2 drinks when out for dinner or at a party.

  • 1 or 2 drinks can't hurt at this point.

  • When we were TTC DS I drank a couple times after conceiving but before I got my BFP.  I think you should go ...if you're worried then only have 1 drink instead of 3 or 4.  KWIM?

  • "Drink until it's pink".  Even if you are PG, you aren't sharing your bloodstream w/ the baby for a few weeks anyhow.  A couple drinks is not goign to matter.

  • i went on a vineyard wine tasting tour 2 days before i got my BFP with DD, and we weren't TTC so i had NO idea i was even pregnant - when i went to the doctor the next day, the midwife said not to worry about it.

i would say to live your life as normal until you get a BFP, if you're concerned just tone it down a few and only have 1!  good luck!

  • I live my life normally until I get a BFP. Even if you are pg, you aren't sharing a bloodline with the baby yet.
