Just read this morning that you shouldn't use acne fighting face wash that has salicylic acid if you're pregnant.  The book I read it from says to begin to use "mild face wash."  Does anyone know of a good acne face fash that doesn't have it but works well?  (I know it's different for everyone...but any ideas would be helpful!) Thanks so much!

After I went off the pill my skin broke out like crazy. I went to my derm and she said I shouldn't use salicylic acid, or any "acne" washes or creams. Also that "anti-aging" creams were a no go. She reccommended cetiphil face wash (which I have used for years and is great) and she wrote me a perscription for a spot treatment that is ok while TTC and preg.

I also had to give up all my products with salicylic acid and now use Cetiphil face wash. Im in wk 6 and my skin is becoming more oily and breaking out.  Can anyone recommend a face moisturizer that works well for them?

You can use salicylic acid up to 2% and most face washes contain just that, but it's advised not to use it on your entire body--just facial area.

I've been using Clean and Clear w/ 10% BP, and that's really helped out a lot.  I've also been using a toner to get rid of the dead skin cells and Eucerin's light moisturizer with SPF 30. 

My skin has a lot of redness.  For make up I use Laura Geller's real deal concealer and powder over it.  The concealer goes A LONG way.

My Belli Pregnancy Acne Clearing Facewash just came in the mail, and I'm anxious to see how it works.  I've broken out horribly since going off BC, and nothing seems to help.  Now that I'm pregnant, it's even worse, and my face hurts and itches.  This facewash uses a chemical that's naturally found in the body, so it cannot harm baby.

Low dose SA is okay. Benzoyl Peroxide is also okay. It's in Proactive, which is what I use.

I'm still using the same old face wash with 2% SA and a spot treatment with 5% BP.
