spotting after vaginal u/s

I posted this on another board, but just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I had an u/s done yesterday. LO measured 7w1d with a strong heartbeat of 160. No spotting yesterday, but today I am noticing blackish material that looks like old blood. It is not much, and I know that spotting can occur with any pelvic exam. I just wanted some assurance that it has happened to other people. Thanks.

That sounds very normal.

Sometimes your cervix is extra sensitive during pregnancy and bleeds easily.  Some spotting after sex is considered normal as well.

I didn't have spotting after my first u/s, but my doctor warned me that it could happen and if it did, it was perfectly normal.
