How did the first night in the big boy bed go?

First night is tonight.  We did nap today and it was, ummmm, rough.  I think we may have changed his room too much all at once and it's not really finished yet.  We moved out the dresser into Sophie's room last night and his room is basically empty except for his bed and 1 bookcase.  DH still has to put the other shelving unit together.  I think Gavin just panicked when he saw how different it was this afternoon.  You could just see the look on his face- like we had destroyed his sanctuary.  I couldn't help but cry along with him.  He ended up pulling all the pillows onto the floor and sleeping there.  Right now we are struggling with what to do b/c he has a tv in his room that we only use on Sat/Sun mornings to keep him entertained so we can sleep in.  We are going to have to figure out a way to get this up out of his reach b/c he was way too interested in pushing those buttons today and we're afraid he could pull it off the bookshelf.  It's a small lightweight flatscreen so I'm thinking about just using one of those floating shelves and putting it up higher out of his reach.  I swear, the baby proofing never ends.
