KatelynsMomma

How is your DS doing w/ sippies?

Andrew did better yesterday - 17 oz, didn't wake up at all...

But then today he's only had 7 oz and he probably won't be up for more than 3 more hours :/

He's been really fatigued since we started. I have no idea if that's related or if he's not drinking because he's fatigued for another reason (teething, growth spurt, whatever)

Re: KatelynsMomma

  • A is doing better than Collin, so don't get discouraged, lol.

He will pick it up, take a drink, and move on to something else. So there have been days where he doesn't drink much at all...maybe 5-7 oz in a whole day. However, if he's confined (i.e - in the car), he will drink most of a cup. So I always fill that one full so he gets a lot in.

Another problem we have is that since he was 2 mos old, he has had a bottle at 6am and then would fall back asleep until 9am (loved this!). So now, if I feed him a sippy cup of milk at that time, he will drink it (yay for getting in liquid!) and go back to sleep (double yay!), but I don't want him to keep getting that milk at that time in bed. So I've been trying to wean him off that feeding. Which is hard because when he cries for a while, he wakes up DD, so it's a lose/lose.

  • That's what Andrew does too!  Picks it up and now he's mostly just smacking it away, but will lean back act like he's gong to drink and then throw it and he's done. :/

Thanks for sharing your exp. I hope that Collin starts drinking more for you.  It's hard because I don't know what's normal but I hope both of the little guys pick up the pace soon! :)

Hang in there...Iet's both check in tomorrow!
