I came across a name I really like but I only like one pronunciation and not the other.  I am wondering which is more common.[Poll]

This name reminds me of "linea negra", because I would pronounce it as such if I saw it spelled Linnea. If you are wanting to pronounce it Lynn-eh-ah, why not spell if Lynnea? I went to school with 2 girls named this who spelled it that way.

Lynn-eh-uh is not the pronunciation I like...I prefer Lynn-ee-ah.

I work with a girl named Linnea and it she pronounces it Lynn - nay - uh.  She said that her name is mispronounced a lot even after she tells them the correct way.

I love the name Linnea! We almost named our daughter that but switched to Kierra at last minute! It is so pretty! We will name our next daughter Linnea for sure!

Ha!  No worries...I don't even know if DH would like the name, but I saw it and thought it was very pretty and different.
