We're just not making it anymore on 2 + hour trips and we're going to fly to AZ in a few weeks so I wanted to purchase a portable DVD player that had a long battery life. I've done some research but I thought you all might have some suggestions? Also, have you purchased earphones too?
Thanks so much.
Re: Recommend your portable DVD player
We bought this Sony one last summer and LOVE it. We have taken alot of long raod trips over the past year and it has been a lifesaver. We do keep it plugged in when we're in the car or hotel room, but the reviews say it has a true 6-hour battery life. We've only tested that once (accidentally) and it lasted about 6 hours. The remote is great and works fine from the front seat of the car - such a nice convenience! FWIW, I paid about $160 and got it direct from Amazon. I also only bought the red one b/c it was the cheapest color at the time (why on earth different colors would cost different amounts is beyond me!)

I did buy some toddler headphones when I bought the player, but we have yet to use them. My kids were too young to "get" them last year and we couldn't find them on our last trip. But I think they'll be great this coming year.

Since I'm discussing the whole purchase (LOL) I also bought an indispensable carrry case for the player. We hang it in between the 2 front seats and both my kids can easily see the player when it is hanging in the case. Definitely recommend if you have 2 kids who need to watch one player.
