felt it!  but it was appearantly small...the rumbling was loud, it woke me up.

Oh wow. We had a small one here once and that was crazy. But apparently there is a pretty significant fault line close by.

I didn't feel it! We're about 40 mintues from DC.

I'm 20ish minutes from where it was centered.  It woke DH and I up from dead sleep.  It sounded like thunder, sort of, and shook everything.  You know how thunder can shake the house?  This was clearly shaking the ground.  Since it didn't do any damage, I thought it was cool.

I felt it. I told DH I thought we had an earthquake and he thought I was nuts. He is the "earthquake expert" having grown up in San Francisco. I got a sheepish call while he was on his way to work -- "Um, the news says there was an earthquake this morning..."

It woke me up, and I thought at the time that it was a plane flying really low.

Yep. Crazy right. I live in southern MD and didn't feel it. But just to know it happened...never thought it was possible. But I guess anything's possible.
