I am supposed to start Femara for the first time this cycle. This morning I had my CD3 baseline ultrasound. I had a 16mm cyst. The ultrasound tech thought it looked like it was collapsing and might be smaller in a few days. The NP that was in with me during the ultrasound thought we might have to cancel the cycle, but was going to talk to the Dr. to see if we could go ahead. I didn't think a 16mm cyst was all that large. I've seen people start medicated cycles with cysts this size and a bit larger. Is it really big enough to cancel the cycle?
Re: Cancel cycle for 16mm cyst?
I have had a cycle cancelled because of a cyst but I don't know how big it was. The deciding factor was my estrogen level. Apparently they can tell if the cyst will be a problem based on that. Did they take blood this morn?
