Has anyone ever had their "baseline" ultrasound for Clomid monitoring on any day other than CD 3? It's looking like we're going to be out of town on my CD 3. Does that mean I'm out for the cycle?
Off BCP March 2009
TTC since September 2009
3 rounds of Clomid + Trigger, 3 rounds of Gonal-F + Trigger, total of 4 IUIs - all BFNs
IVF May/June 2011 - BFP!

Re: CD 3 Ultrasound
I would think you could CD 2 or CD 4 or 5 with no problem and just start the clomid on CD 5.
Are you going to be home any of those days?

Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
I'm taking clomid and wasn't monitored before taking it. I do go on day 21 for a progesterone test?
can someone explain the significance of monitoring before taking clomid?
Are you going in to be monitored any other days? If so,, when?
Thanks. I'm so glad to hear that some of you ladies have done the ultrasound on a day other than CD 3.
I can be home on CD 2 or 4 or 5 but, on what I believe the doc will count as CD 3, we'll be going to a wedding and staying in a hotel room that's already paid for!
Last cycle I did baseline at CD2 and started femara that night. This cycle I did baseline at CD5 and started femara that night. Both were results of weekends sowe did it early/late.
Good luck!!

Good to know.
Man, this timing stuff is complicated!
If you're seeing a reputable RE (and that IS the only person who should be giving you Clomid, not your GP, not your OBGYN), you should be monitored before starting a clomid cycle (CD3 monitoring), sometime mid cycle (CD10-13) and then 7 days past ovulation, which is NOT the same thing as CD21. If you are getting any less than his, then your doctor is risking your health and wasting your recommended 6 lifetime cycles of clomid.
