MIL is coming in tonight for the weekend so that DH can drive some stuff up to Charlotte and so that I can frantically pack (we've all been out of commission this week thanks to various illnesses; I can't see how HC manages all this coughing she does and still feels good enough to play and eat and be her 2-year-old self, I really can't) more boxes and keep HC entertained.  I love my MIL, I really do; I have zero horror stories to share about her, and I know how lucky I am that we get along so well.

It's just that, well, she's getting older these days, and we have to give her SO many specific directions and parameters around what's okay and not okay to do with our daughter, it's sort of like having a ditzy babysitter instead of a competent Grandma taking care of her.  Sigh. 

Oh, and one of the items DH is carting up to CLT to avoid it being damaged in the moving van is our television.  So it'll be a MIL-filled, TV-less weekend.  I'm stopping for beer on the way home tonight.  :P
