A 4-year old, seeing Nightmare on Elm Street?!

Shut the door! I was at Walmart the other day and I was in the DVD section. A man walked by pushing what appeared to be a 3-4 year old in the cart. The boy said, "Dad, can you buy me that movie you just took me to see? The one with the killer guy?" The dad responds, "do you mean with Freddie Kruger in it?" The boy's response? "Yeah, the one where the guy with knife hands kills everyone!" Now... brace yourself.. "It's not out yet but I'll buy it for you for Christmas."

  • Sad to say, I'm not too surprised.  I teach first grade and am appalled at the movies my students watch.  One of my students last year couldn't stop talking about his favorite movie of all time...Saw II.

I don't really care, he's not my son so it's not my business, I just couldn't believe it, lol.

Wow, I kind of think Saw II is a little worse than Nightmare on Elm Street even..

  • I agree. I cannot believe what some kids watch, but... not my kids I guess. Hope they don't get nightmares!

I used to think this too, until I started teaching and having to deal with the results of watching these types of movies and playing violent video games, etc. on a daily basis.  Now I want to slap these parents silly for being such idiots.
