Re: IVF#3 BFN weekend get away ideas
(((hugs))) to you.
DH and I went to St. Michael's (in MD on the eastern shore) for a night in May--really quaint tourist marina town. Perfect if you're both water lovers. One of the best parts was the sunset boat tour we took of the harbor on the Selena II. There's just room for 3 couples and they offer champagne. There are also moonlight tours. You'll definitely want to call ahead to make a reservation--I think she books quickly. Also we stayed at the St. Michael's Harbor Inn, which has rooms that face the marina--again, if you're water lovers, I think it's a better option over the B&B's in town.
FWIW, I surprised DH with the trip--he didn't know where we were going until we got there. It's about a 2 hour drive from the DC area.
Good luck with the trip planning and everything else!
big hugs to you.
St. Michael's is nice.We went to Charlottesville a few months ago and had a great time. What about Delaware beaches, Richmond, NYC (little further), Nemacolin, or the Bavarian Inn at Shephardstown?
I was going to say St. Michael's too.
I also heard a lady in my nail salon talk about Bear Creek Lake near Charlottesville, she loved it there.
Hickory Bridge Farm, its right over the MD border in PA - near Gettysburg. Nice B&B!!!
We stayed at the Tides Inn in Irvington VA several years ago. It's in the Northern Neck of VA and it's a fantastic resort. Great restaurant, spa, golf, swimming. If I remember correctly it's about 2 1/2 hours away.

We've also stayed at Keswick Hall in Charlottesville several times. It's also a great resort with great spa, restaurant and golf.
