H was only supposed to sleep in our room until he was 6 months old, but here we are at 9 months and he's still in there. My DH and I do not have a problem with him sleeping in our room (usually in his crib and sometimes bed sharing) and are fine continuing it for a while. I was just wondering how it is working out now that your LO is older.
TIA
Re: Anyone have a LO still sleeping in your room
Ours is just across the house, but it's in the front and my irrational mind tells me if someone is going to break in they will break in in the front. haha
Also, he still gets up to be soothed a couple of times a night so it's nice to have him right by us.
We bedshare and DD is still with us at nearly 16 months.
I don't know exactly when we'll try to switch her to a toddler bed, but we aren't in any hurry.
Its probably easier to keep him in your room if you are still soothing him at night.. We moved him after we did CIO when he finally started sleeping through the night.
This exactly!!!
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."
This. And currently she's sleeping in her PNP in our room because we live in a 3rd floor apartment and it gets REALLY hot in here and and the a/c window unit is in our room. I don't want her to get hot in her room, so she's in ours.
This exactly is the same for us.
DD is almost 2 and she is still sleeping with us. I have thought about moving her into her toddler bed, which is in my room a few times but I am just not comfortable enough to do that yet. I like having her near me and being able to hear her breathing. I don't like the fact that she is a bed hog though!
