Trouble TTC

F/U Should I be concerned?

Sorry ladies I P&R, then I forgot I posted.

I spoke to my RE yesterday and I remember he said he wanted a high dosage of Clomid this round from our meeting, I was thinking maybe 200mg. Well the RE and pharmacist spoke, he explained about me not reacting and he would rather over stimulate than to see no results at all. ::shrugs:: I guess we shall see what happens.

I am dreading the headaches that will come with this dose, that was the only s/e I felt on 100mg.

Thanks again for your input.

That's what I was saying. Then I grew concerned when the pharmacist called.

Then they asked if I could ask my RE to get generic since it is a $370 difference for the Clomid, RE said no. Stupid man.

  • I'm so glad you gotthat cleared up ! Kudos to the pharmacist for questioning it. I know the pharmacists at my local Walgreens would have just filled it and handed it over to me with no questions asked.

Yeah hon, but clomaphyne (sp?) is generic and it gives horrible SE! The brand name are better!

Sometimes generics aren't so good. I had killer headaches when I was given the generic, but the first 2 cycles I was ok. I hope this does the trick, but if you need such high dosage why not put you on injects with TI... ?

Because I can't afford to do injects and keep up on the u/s at this time, I would need a few months to set the money aside. Just for the Gonal-F alone, it would cost me $4680.

He said he was willing to do one more round of Clomid w/ metformin to see how I respond. If I don't I want to focus on losing weight.

If I took an ovary and used it, I think people would question if it was my baby. Blaxi.... Blexi...Mexlacks.... damn just can't figure a mixed name for it.

Well.... M and I are engaged. (If figured everyone knows I'm not married since I don't put DH) He has military benefits, so I plan on waiting to do injects after we are married. As long as I don't have assisted insemination I believe meds, b/w and u/s are covered. But when I do IUIs and IVF, I won't have that great coverage.
