Pregnant after IF

registry checklist

Does anyone have a good checklist for what you should register for?  I remember seeing one at some point, but don't remember where?

DH and I want to start looking.

Re: registry checklist

  • HAve you gotten Baby Bargins?? That's a great place to start..I was able to get a lot of info from that book as far as reviews of products ect. But it is also super bias so I would take it for what it's worth...

As far as checklist..You live in NY right?? I would start at BBB they have a GREAT checklist that you get when you start your registry.  It's way better then BRU (which I also did but love BBB) booklet that you get from them.

Also, BBB has a fantastic service that is free called a "personal shop" where one of the representatives from the store will take you around and help you with your registry. This is typically done on a weekday morning (we did it on day that DH had off and it took us 6hrs total) when the store is quite and show you all the different areas. WHat I loved was that you can ask a million questions and they DON"T push products on you or make you choose the most expensive ones.  I found soo helpful cause I had no clue about so much of the stuff...I LOVE BBB!!

    Happy Shopping!!

  • i'm actually in NJ - but plan on driving an hour to the closest BBB next week with my mom. DH doesn't have time off during the week, so, any registering is unfortunately going to happen in the evenings or on the weekends.

DH and I are going to go to BRU tonight, just to look around and get some ideas. I didn't even think of checking  my baby bargains book for a checklist. I bet that's where I saw it in the first place.

    Thanks!

DH and I would go and walk around a lot..before we even picked up a registry gun or started a registry. It helps to just go in and see touch everything, I total visual person!!  DH would get burned out quick though...and or would get overwhelmed in the beginning.  Now he zooms through BBB like a pro!  Ask BRU for there reistery book. That has a good list to get started.

You can do the personal the personal shop at anytime..They jsut prefer to do it during the week/weeknights when the store is less busy then on the weekends.  You can also split it up, 3 hours one day and 3 hrs another.  We just did it all in one day cause my MIL was in town and it was DH's only time off before starting a long homestand...It's a really great service and all the people who work at BBB are soo helpful.
