Told the kids Im expecting..

I didn't get it on video- my dad has my video camera and I couldn't get the smaller camera to work.. But here is how the conversation went..

My DH's birthday was yesterday so we went to Carrabba's. We were sitting there waiting for our dinner:

DH: Ok, do you know why mommy has been so sick with her tummy lately?

Layla: Yep, cause she drinks too much coca (which is her word for diet coke-- yes I am a fiend but haven't really had any- I can't stand the taste right now) Totally throwing me under the bus..

Logan: No, she has a tummy bug..

DH: Well no, those arent the reasons

Layla: does she have to go to the hospital? then starts rambling about being sick and having to go to the hospital and cutting me open, etc...

DH: Nope.... We are going to have a baby!

Layla: Screaming from both... YAAYYY, Logan we get 2, one for you one for me.. They can each sleep in our rooms, I can change the diapers--- LOGAN Cuts her off IM not changing stinky diapers..

Me: NO NO NO we are NOT having 2, just one.. And I dont know if it is a girl or boy, we will have to wait to see what we are having..

Layla: But I wanted 2? I want a boy and a girl.. So we can each have one..

Me: well honey you don't get to choose, you get what you get

Logan: you get what you get and you dont get upset..

ME: EXACTLY!!

Layla: Well how come you dont have a fat tummy like Tia ____? (I wont say which Tia she was talking about.. )

Me: it will come honey, it will come..

They were so excited and we went bowling afterwards.. My daughter kept coming up to me and hugging and rubbing my stomach saying.. Mommy we get a baby!!! And smiling so much.. It was really cute..

So it is all out in the open and feels a bit strange to have told them.. Im still so apprehensive..

LMAO! Well, it does not matter which Tia they were talking about because both Tia Mel and Tia Alisha both have fat tummies! LMAO! Thats awesome. I love their reactions. How funny that they thought they were each getting one!!!! I love that!
