TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Toddlers and Tiaras have made me realize something

We concieved our first baby in Brooklyn (we had just had our offer accepted on the house here when I found out I was pregnant. I threw up all through the closing).

If B.C. had been a little girl, we were going to name her Brooklyn, in honor of our time there and her start.

Given that forty-seven of the trashy mothers on Toddlers and Tiaras named their daughters Brooklyn (even though they live nowhere near the borough), it makes me question why I thought that was such a great name.

The spellings are just heaven, too:

Brookline

Brooklyne

Brooklaine

Good times.

  • Love their spellings of the name. I have always liked the name, but certain people who have used that name have ruined it for me. My bf's name is Brooke and we always called her Brooklyn. I was thinking of using it as a middle name for a girl, but then this total fh came into my store and her daughter had that name and after hearing her calling her over and over it ruined it.

  • Isn't funny how you NEVER meet little girls named Brooklyn in Brooklyn? And I'm guessing no Bronxes in the Bronx either (or born to anyone who has ever been to the Bronx!)

I think abandoning that name was a good call, even though your motivation for choosing it was very sweet.
