Hi everyone,
I introduced myself a few days ago. This pregnancy came as a total surprise and we were not expecting it at all so I feel like I am not well planned at all - I normally have a really good plan for my life! Needless to say this is freaking me out a bit. Anyway, I know some of you have definitely been through this and/or have done a lot more planning than I have. My husband just got the information for his new health plan and we were talking about putting more money on his flex spending card to account for increased expenses during the next year. However, neither of us really know where to start! I've done some research about the costs that we will incur, but I guess I just haven't gotten a good enough idea. I am a teacher and have really great health insurance, but I know there are still medical expenses. For those of you that have done more planning, about how much are you planning for?
Thanks for any advice.
Re: Flex Spending Cards
We have great insurance so we wont have to pay anything out of pocket. Were planning for $5,000 before the baby gets here and about $400 in costs per month
ETA im a planner too, I cant live without lists and spreadsheets
Thank you so much! It's definitely know that someone else out there thought this through! If this hadn't come as such a surprise I probably would have had a more solid plan, but apparently that was not the plan for us! Thankfully we have both gotten over the initial shock and are now on to elation and the need to get some things in order!
