Trouble TTC

Should I be concerned? P&R

I got a call today from the pharmacist and he questioned the high dosage my RE put me on. I didn't even read the slip before handing it over. The RE is moving me from 100mg to 250mg. Indifferent

Does that normally happen or should I question it?

Re: Should I be concerned? P&R

  • Yes!!  Especially since you've only had one Clomid cycle.  Definitely call the RE to check.
  • Seems high.  Most of the time I've heard of RE's stepping it up in 50 mg increments but your RE may have a reason for it.  Can you call him tomorrow and ask?  Since clomid comes in 50 mg pills you could still pick up the prescription and just uses less of it (or wait to hear back).

  • Oh yes! I've never heard of anyone doing 250mg. All docs are different, but mine won't go above 150.

  • I have never heard of 250mg either.  I have seen women on IF who have done 200mg though.

I would def. double check with your RE before taking it.

Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
  • That seems like a big increase.  I would call your RE to verify the dosage and if it is correct find out why the big increase.

    GL!
