Friday night we put her to bed as usual. Imagine my surprise when I heard a loud THUD come from her room a few moments later. She decided it would be a good time to climb/fall out of her crib! UGH! I race in there, calm her down and decide to see if she'll do it again or if it was just some fluke. I put her back in the crib, she immediately stands up and hoists her leg over the rail. Obviously the fall didn't scare her and we realize that this isn't going to work! {Do you see where this is going?} So we decided not to risk her climbing/falling out again and converted her crib to a toddler bed. Surprisingly she is doing quite well sleeping in the bed!
I wasn't planning on converting for awhile....especially with the new LO coming soon!
Re: Did I tell ya...DD climbed/fell out of the crib?
Oh goodness, she did it with the mattress all the way down? What an impressive little climber! Andrew climbed/fell out of his crib a couple of months ago, but the mattress wasn't all the way down yet (our crib has three mattress heights).
It's great that she's doing well in her toddler bed!
Welcome to my world!!! DS climbs out everyday! He has climbed out since he was 17 months old... thankfully he is VERY good at it and doesn't get hurt. He'll be moving to a twin bed within the next week or two.
I'm glad she is doing ok and that the transition went so easily for you!
