Late crawlers anyone?

Anyone have  a late crawler? Ethan is 9.5 months old and shows no interest in crawling. He gets around rolling, but hasn't even gotten up on all fours yet. My pedi wasn't concerned at his 9 month appointment and I know it's not a milestone, but I"m having visions of having a three year old not walking. Ease my fears, offer insight, or just hold my hand

Yes! My Ethan started a little after 10 months.  Layla just crawled for the first time yesterday but I wouldn't call her a crawler yet because she hasn't done it anymore and they are now 11 months old.  Don't worry about it!  Ethan will do it when he's ready

We were just talking about this yesterday...I think some babies prefer to roll to wherever they want to go and some crawl. I know plenty of babies who never crawled - went from rolling to walking - so I think it's totally normal. No worries!

Bella did not crawl ever!! She took her 1st steps at 10months and walked by 1yr..how's that for easing your fears?? I know it is hard not to worry though..I did!!

Ethan may just skip it and go straight to walking!

You just described my son exactly. His mode of transportation is rolling and army crawling but he much prefers rolling since he's much faster at it. (I'd swear he win at a rolling race, lol.) Like I said, he can army crawl but has no intentions of getting on all fours. According to my mom, I never crawled and went straight to walking so we'll see.

Hayden didn't start crawling until just past 10 months. At 9 months, he had no interest what so ever. I say enjoy it. Once they are "mobile", they are into everything! Also just because they crawl a little later, doesn't mean that they will walk later. Hayden took his first steps 2 days before he turned 13 months and now at 14 months, walks about 50% of the time.
