Second time (or more) Moms - Question!

I'm hoping you might be able to shed some light on this. 

I have an ache in my cervix, it's almost a dull pulsating feeling.  It's not painful but it's there and more annoying than anything.  

I had brown spotting on Monday, pink spotting yesterday that stopped quickly and a tiny bit of brown today - which I'm guessing is the rest of yesterdays blood I saw.  

I just want to make sure that this dull ache is normal and not something I should be afraid of...

    I had/have the dull ache with both my pregnancies. I didn't have any spotting though.

    when in doubt call your provider... but here's my thoughts.

    I am wondering if the dull ache is due to the increased blood flow to the pelvic region during the first trimester making it more sensitive. I have a dull ache that comes and goes, too. I have had it with all three pregnancies. But no spotting.
