NPR: Skin care "system"?

I recently turned the big 4-0 and my skin has decided to reward me for this monumental event by reverting back to the teen years.  I haven't had this many zits since my late teens, before I went on Accutane.  My skin is probably normal to on the dry side- def. not oily.  I'm also very fair skinned.  Wondering if anyone has tried any of those skin care systems out there- ProActiv, Meaningful Beauty, Perfect Skin (the Kardashian's- gasp!).  Or if not a "system"- any other products you've found work well?  I did buy the ProActiv refining mask awhile back that I'd seen advertised for blemishes.  Hasn't really done much for me.  TIA!
