Just saw pics of Cal's 1/2-sister

The mom who wrote me earlier just posted a few pics of her daughter on the DSR site (only others who've used the same donor can see), and let me know...so I just went to the site with bated breath, and..........................
she doesn't look anything like Cal!  Cal is ALL me.  I knew that anyway, but this confirmed it.  Of course, she could be ALL her birth mom, too - I'll be interested to find out!

The only possible similarities in appearance are blond hair (which I had as a child too), and maybe the nose?  Hard to tell with noses at such a young age...

She's super-cute, though!

Man, this is a trip.

Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!

Wow - all I can say is you are brave!  I really don't know how I'd feel to see one of Sam's diblings.  Maybe because it's my DNA that is swapped out... it might reveal more of the donor in him than I would be comfortable with.  Argh - it is such a trip!!

So excited that you are getting to do this all again!

  • I've still yet to get us setup on the DSR site...it always confuses the bejeebers out of me.

Definitely a trip to see their pictures :-)
