Finally bought some wool! How to lanolize?

Okay, I finally broke down and bought an upcycled Kangadu wool soaker for nighttime use since DD is a heavy wetter.

So let me get this straight: in order to lanolize, I'll need lanolin(I have a tube of Lanisoh) and baby soap/shampoo. Do I mix them together, or wash first, then lanolize? I'm confused!
