Okay, am I the only crazy one not wanting to register for a full bedding set? From those bed in a bags, the only items I'm interested in are:
Valance (usually sold seperately)
Bed skirt
Bumper (maybe when older)
DH and my aunt think I'm nuts. But honestly I can't justify spending $200/ea for a quilt, diaper staker, bumper (I may not use), etc. I rather spend that $400 on the stroller, or upgrading the furniture, no?!
For now, I registered for a cute breathable bumper that matches the valance, rug, and sheets I would like. Is there anyplace that sells bumpers individually? I searched a bit last night, and they were all sets. I did see PBK had one, but wanted something more colorful.
Thanks.
Re: Baby Bedding Question
we are not doing the bed in a bag this time with evan. i did that with mady and totally regretted it. i tried to sell my used set and had to split everything up to sell some items i had no choice but to give away because they would not sell. in the end mady only has her quilt, sheets and her skirt from her old bedding.
this time we are going with PBK. the kids bedding is the morgan collection (evan's in blue, and mady's in pink). we are only buying the quilt and skirt from PBK. we found a breathable bumper that matches perfectly from target and matching fitted sheets and a "savana" and pillow case for mady. my sister is gifting the sheets to us. as for the curtain i found a cute matching one for the room at ikea ($20)!
as far as bumpers are concerned look at target they have a collection in stores and some online that are not very pricey. ikea also has bumpers and so does walmart and jcp (i believe). if i would have done this the 1st time around with mady her room would not have looked as if bru threw up all over it. no offense to those who already have beds in bags to each their own, but i'll never spend $200 again on those types of beddings.
I'm all over TJMaxx and Marshalls... they are my favorite. The problem we have is that we want TWO (or at least I want them the same), which is impossible to find in these stores. LOL

At first, I registered for this set: https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?SKU=116162&
It matches perfectly with the color scheme in the room, but I later realized I would probably only use a few of those items in the beginning and by the time she's ready for a blanket and comforter I won't have a pillowcase to match. I know for sure I don't want to use the valance or diaper stacker and I DO want the changing pad cover which is not included. So... in the end, I registered for the fitted sheet, the changing pad cover, and the blanket. I registered for a separate pink bed skirt and a separate pink breathable bumper and extra sheets. I also wanted a hamper and there was no matching hamper so I registered for one from a different set that kind of matches.
I figure when she's ready for a toddler bed, I'll get her a set like this which will match with the items I'll already have anyway: https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?BRN=1&SKU=16483680&RN=7015&
I also second Target, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. for separate bedding pieces.
